Labor Day Weekend

We had a great weekend! We watched the Blue Jays play Columbus Friday Night! Chandler is just in love with the Blue Jay and one of the cheerleaders. Her mom works with me, he got so shy and it was adorable. Saturday morning we ventured out to Austin, Tx.
Our first stop was the State Capital. It was so much fun! Of course, Keith and I were really into it looking at all the history, but Chandler found it a bit boring. He liked the stairs though! After the capital we took a break to Pernales State Park. Went swimming in the river which was really low, but just right for Bubba. Unfortunately, we missed the bats, and only saw a couple come out while in the car. Bubba kept asking to see the bats. Opps! We headed back to the hotel and ate at the IHOP right next door.
Sunday we left to return home and went through New Bransfuels, thank goodness we did or we would of had to turned back. Our trip was planned to drive down 71. We could see the smoke from the Bastrop fire from I10. It was pretty scary.
Monday was a lazy day of cooking fajitas and having family over.

It was a great weekend!
